What a wonderful capture, Peter! The detail of the Reddish stamp is quite amazing! I agree with the others that retaining more detail of the bird's body might make this striking image even more arresting! |

The editing has really enhanced this underwater shot…making it much more vivid.
I agree with Karl that burning would help the viewer focus more on the main subject. |

Karl, the blue was definitely not "true." You make a good point, Hanoch. I could have kept the background to make the image environmental, but I chose, instead, to make the portrait stand out more. Both approaches seem reasonable. |

The Verbena bush is beautifully isolated against the white background. The overall effect is very soothing. |

What a lovely composition, and accompanying story!
I wonder if desaturating the grass so that the cheetahs stand out more would add drama to the scene? |

I love the crispness and detail of this, and that this is much heightened by removing the background. Could the fragment of leaf bottom left also be extinguished?
