Peter, I really like what you have done; it emphasizes the stark horror of the crucifixion. |

Lauren, turning her back upright would be a good idea, but I'm not sure how to do it! |

Judith, I did invert the image. The only software that I used was Lightroom Classic. |

Thanks, everyone!
Karl, I just checked out Water Dance by Howard Schatz; his photos are truly amazing. He took dance photography to a new level...thank you for pointing me in his direction! |

Stunning patterns!! I love how you've framed this.
I'm amazed that this was handheld for 15 secs...what an amazing feat!!! |

Beautifully rendered, especially the sunburst effect which really frames the dancer.
The overall image is truly masterful! |

Great editing to enhance the composition. I like the clever visual reference to the Mayflower. However, the flowers do dominate the scene a bit; would saturating the boat colors or desaturating the flowers possibly help in that regard?
I do love that boat!!! |

Very interesting effect!
I wonder if cropping both the left and right sides would be worthwhile? |

This is really beautiful and atmospheric...Monsieur Pissarro
himself would have been proud of this! The subject matter lends itself so well to this style. Maybe a great Xmas card! |

I like your final version the most, Judith. While the viewer's eye might "dart back and forth between the ant and the water drop", this doesn't bother me in the slightest.
The ant, the center of the flower and the raindrop are all aligned and sharp, and are in strong contrast to the remainder of the flower. Heck, the ant may even be looking askance at the raindrop!
I second Peter's comments about judges; it's all very subjective, and -if you like the end-result- nothing else really matters! |
