I agree with Judith that it would help to remove the streaks under the frame, for they serve no purpose. I wanted the focus to be on the two figures and so it felt OK for them to be relatively sharp. I did not take a shot without ICM. More and more, I move around with the intent of shooting only ICM, and galleries are a great source of subjects since they are so wrapped up in the paintings or sculptures or whatever. |

To me, this is a would-be Pinocchio pondering nature...a marvelous contrast. The grass seed is stunning in its effect.
This could be the start of a fascinating series. It really holds my attention!! |

Yes, a great continuation of your series for a retirement home...what a lovely idea. I agree that a lensbaby would add an extra dimension of interest to the image, and/or to other images in the series. The old folks will find lots to talk about with images like these, and might become quite animated. |

As Judith says, a fascinating abstract! The background leaf makes all the difference, especially as softened by Karl. The location of the purple flower doesn't bother me, although I might be inclined to saturate the purple more. An interior decorator or a restaurant would snap this up for a wall hanging. |

While the original is striking, I think Peter's soft brush does add interest to the leaf. The composition gives a very pleasing balance to the image.

I know almost nothing about portraiture! This is a marvelous, dramatic rendering of an imposing guy who may not be overly impressed by his Roman superiors. It's great!! |
