Marvelous! Great colors, and the duck's shyness comes over very clearly. Karl's treatment of darkening the water is very effective. There is something totally unique about this capture. |

Lauren, I see more than a parrot! To me, there are two birds (on the right) and a camel top left, and I can't take my eyes off them. The darkened background is a superb contrast. I could look at this for a long time (other than as a nightcap!) and let my imagination fly. The image is an amazing transformation. Wonderful! |

I actually like Original 2 the most, especially if you boost the highlights. Original 2 is, for me, the most eye-catching
(bad pun). The other two, as Judith and Lauren suggest, look a bit over-processed.
Thank goodness you researched the vacation home!! |

I agree with Lauren. You have taken a rather uninspiring image and turned it into a highly fascinating one. It's technically brilliant and, to me, very spooky - in keeping with these turbulent times. Peter said it: "it makes you think and want to understand". The effect is so compelling. Love it!! |

Thanks, everyone. I agree that the image is overexposed. Also, as Judith says, cropping just the top sounds like a good idea. I think the main reflection of the boat was top right. You have given me some great thoughts as to how to improve the image! |
