An interesting subject, and probably not at all easy to shoot.
I think the glare is distracting and, as Mark said, the worn appearance of the coins (or, at least the uppermost one) is somewhat off putting.
I like the contrast that is present in the image, and wonder if reducing the highlights and/or exposure might help further. |

I think David's edits enhance an already strong photo. Getting rid of the snowflakes "on" the bird makes a big difference, as do the other changes. One really has the sense that the bird is quite unhappy about this unexpected turn of events! |

I would also vote for the first image. It really sparkles! I guess reducing the contrast a little on the first one would help, but wouldn't do anything else. |
