This is a bold, moody portrait that leans into texture and emotion. It doesn't rely on perfection but on feel-and that works. With a slightly cleaner background, it would elevate to something quite stunning and editorial. You might also try tiny bit more sharpness/light on the right eye.

This is a compelling, almost painterly photograph. It communicates mood and texture and patterns effectively, and the abstract composition is visually engaging.
Couple tweaks will make it more striking. Play with shadows and highlights to add a bit more dynamic range also maybe boosting contrast slightly could ass a bit more visual pop to the ridges and valleys. Good luck with the competition.

Pete, This is a beautifully composed and atmospheric photo that captures the quiet power of nature and the serenity of human interaction with it.
While the silhouette style is effective, the foreground (rocks and foliage) could benefit from a touch more light or contrast separation to avoid blending too flatly into the darker tones.
I agree with Richard the original color is better.

This is a standout action shot that communicates the fierce intensity of the game and the athletes' commitment. It's both documentary and artistic in nature-a celebration of sport, strength, and the human spirit.
I agree with Richard the crop is tight on the left edge, with part of the players's leg clipped. I also prefer the color vs B&W. |

Overall, this is a lively and theatrical shot that successfully communicates the joy and motion of the performance. It's both fun and full of character.
There is a slight softness in areas like the feet, which may have benefited from a faster shutter speed to freeze the action more crisply-though the blur does suggest motion, which may be your intention. The black and white treatment gives a timeless, classic theater vibe. Two suggestions, Clear the background and fix the black portion of the floor (needs to be black ) |
