97 Jun 21 Comment Hi Jeffrey, I just purchased a D850 and trying to learn how to use all the features it has.. I love photographing house finches..especially the male, he is so colorful! The only suggestion I have is crop it a bit more.. in my opinion you don't need the limb to the left .. the story is "how the male is looking at the female " and possibly put a very light vignette to bring the attention to the birds. 97 Jun 21 Reply Hi Steve, thank you for your candor feedback.
I love this image , so no trash :)
Yes, the colors of the eggs and baby are a bit off but not by much.. I believe they are dirty due to the parents behavior.. they tend to leave the nest for long periods and then come back wet .. etc., based on your feedback, when I get home from my cross country trip to see national parks I will play with it and re-post.. I know I have to become better on my processing..

97 Jun 21 Comment Hi Steve.: I appreciate how you excepted and embarrassed the situation. I appreciate that you are sharing the details of your processing I'm learning a lot from that. If I can offer one suggestion, it would be that you crop it a little tighter and put a little bit of light in their faces. I would like to see some attention to their eyes. Again thank you for sharing your details on the processing. Jun 1st

97 Jun 21 Comment Hi Stanley, nice photo.. my sister lives on the Cape and would love to visit next spring and try to photograph this event.. I would love to know exact location..
I love the image and I also strangle with white birds.
Being handheld I wish you had a higher speed, iso and f-stop for a sharper image. If I shoot handheld big lens .. I always shoot 1/2500 and adjust my iso.. this always guarantee to get a sharp photo..
Unfortunately, I don't have enough photoshop experience to help you with the process.., I will be at the cape sometime late summer early fall .. would love to get together and go out photographing..
