I did include the original image. I was not sure if to have kept the original background, rather than replacing it as I did here. It is image that works better as a PDI rather than a print as it has an immediate impact. |

Having visited a few Masai villages, this is a very typical scene with the ladies trying to make a sale and trying to extract a fee from you for taking the image. We need the background to set the environment, so I would keep the size of it, but would have preferred you to have moved a of couple of steps to the side, to either remove the lady and child on the left or to have made them a more important element in the image. |

This image is made by the sky which is visible through the trees. If you get snow, and another good sky, go back get another.
Looking at the image there is a small touch of bright green between some trees that once seen easily becomes a distraction. |

An interesting subject to photograph which has benefitted from the use of the macro lens.
I use photo stacking with flower pictures using a mirror less camera . I set the camera on a rigid tripod, with a manual exposure usually at f8 and the auto focus set to spot. I then move the AF spot around the flower so I have about 6 or 7 images ranging from the closest point to the furthest point from the camera. I process in Photoshop. |

I like your interpretation of yellow for your competition, you were fortunate to have had a snow fall, which has allowed to create a very effective scene. |

You have captured the New Years Eve atmosphere very well, your cropping has concentrated attention on the lead up to the Arc de Triumph. |

I like the combination of the rusty can and the abandoned blue motel sign, they make a good colour contrast. I don't feel that we need the sky in the top, as the clouds are the lightest part of the image and are therefore a potential distraction. I am not great fan of HDR, but I would probably have tried to selectively apply it to the car as I feel it would probably have increased detail in the shadow areas. |
