Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
27 Jun 22 Comment This a very good image of the lioness and her cub, which shows the relationship between them. The brown of the fur works very well against the muted green and browns of the grasses of the dry season.

27 Jun 22 Comment This an image of a fairly typical house surrounded by the vineyards, which are found in western Germany. I like the colour version, which looks as if it was taken in early spring.
I feel that there was quite a lot more that could be brought out in a mono version - which I have produced using 3 stacked B&W layers.

27 Jun 22 Comment Orchids are always good subjects and this is a super one, especially as it show the hairs on the edges of the petals. The background is far too busy and the dark green stems are very distracting. I like the background that Bev has added it suits the image. Jun 20th
27 Jun 22 Comment Your cropping and cloning has converted a snapshot into a strong image concentrating attention on the heads of the 2 steers. I like your colouration of the sky, though it could have been left off without altering the impact of the image. I agree with Danny that some of the grass and the sky could be cut off to create a square format. Jun 20th
27 Jun 22 Reply I considered how dark the face should be in the image when I was processing it and decided that a slightly darker skin tone was more accurate for the model. Jun 20th
27 Jun 22 Comment I really like your construction of this image, the multiple shots of the moon, creates a story of the occasion. To me the replacement of the foreground trees by the lighthouse has lifted it from being a series of moonshots into a great image. I would be inclined to tone down the light of the lighthouse, as it draws attention away from the moon. Jun 20th
27 Jun 22 Comment I like the abandoned truck in the field, I can see that it would make a wonderfull restoration or a 'rat' project.I like the fact that you do not break the horizon with the roof, and the shape of the food matches that of thill behind it. I feel that the truck needs to stand out more from the background a there is little modelling coming from the high fairly flat lighting. I would experiment on increasing the contrast, saturation and sharpening on selected areas of the truck. Jun 20th
