This one of those images that any natural history photographer would take if given the opportunity as it clearly shows the predation by the ants. I find it hard to get a lens of scale just from the image but I expect that the cicada(?) was abut 2 inches long. The use of the short focal length of the camera phone has given it suffient depth of field to get all the cicada and the bark in good focus. I am pleased to see there are no part cut off ants around the frame edge. |

I can see the story behind this image, and it reflects the interests of the owner. The white card with bear also fits into the story, but because it is so bright and has writing on it has become a major distraction. |

The coloured lighting on the trees, makes an excellent display, and enhances their shapes. There is a fence like structure on the left which has been caught in the lights, that would be better either darkened or cloned out. |

The mono treatment really suits this image, I like the way that all the 'leaves' radiate out from the centre. The random pattern of the white strands create a series of small centres of interest all around the image. |

I actually quite like this image, with the strong central image surrounded by the weak reflection. I feel that the boundary between the main image and the reflection is rather too harsh and wonder if you could soften it. |

I quite like the soft focus effect that you have created on the flower, and how the colour particularly at the base has been brightened up. I feel it would be better with a plain background |
