I meant some cropping, but with an image like this there is considerable scope for altering the aspect ratio and still maintaining a satisfactory and pleasing image, it all depends on personal taste. |

This is a super waterfall, I really like the way that there are 2 'streams' at the top and they are joined by a third part way down. To me you have got the exposure spot on so that gives sufficient blur to the water, but retains a lot of detail where it bounces off the rocks near the base and creates a transparent mist there. The inclusion of the man creates a sense of scale, but for me is a distraction as we always primarily look a people in an image, so it is drawing my eye away from the base of the fall, where the real interest lies. |

There is a good atmosphere to this image, with the clouds obscuring the tops of the distant hills. The bright red of the torrid gate really stands out against the dark trees on the hillside behind it. I like the current width of you image, but would be inclined to clone out the white shrines to the right of the gate. I feel that a reduction in the amount of sky would strengthen the image. |

The amount of sky in images like this is flexible, and if I print it again, I would almost certainly reduce it. I have also produced a colour print of the scene, but to have good atmosphere it needs to be somewhat darker than the mono print, that would make it un-acceptable to many viewers and judges. |

To me this is a good example of creative seeing, in spotting the interesting reflection on the back of the lamp. Well done in removing the bright sun reflection from your image. There is little patch of blue bodywork bottom left that would be better removed. |

Had the weather been better, so that there was more to see at the head of the lake, I would have placed much less emphasis on the foreground rocks, which were more prominent on this occasion as the water level was lower than usual for the time of year. |

A superb set of sunset colours in this image. I like the inclusion of the tops of bushes along the base as they create a good foreground rather than the lack of foreground which we often see in landscape vistas. Though the sky in very attractive, I feel that there is too much of it. Some of the top could be cropped off, but I personally would also lower the cloud formations. |

You have captured the deer in a typical rutting season pose of him bellowing. To me he is rather tight in the frame at the top and bottom, and I am pleased see that you have left him space to move into. |

I really like your idea of capturing the reflections of other windows in the windows of the building. The stone construction of the building makes an attractive framing for the reflections.
I would have preferred it not to have had the windows at the sides only partly shown and for you to have the side edges as stonework. The part windows at the base work as they suggest that there are more floors to the building. |
