I like the way that you have used the boats to lead one into the image. I feel that there is a conflict between the light of the porch and the bright yellow above the arches on the left for attention. I feel that the buildings on both sides should be vertical. I suggest applying a transform perspective correction and then cropping off above the arches would create a stronger image. |

To me still life photos have 2 main aspects- how you arrange the objects and how yo light or post process to create an appropriate mood. I feel that here you have been successful on both counts. |

A very good portrait of your son with super lighting. I feel it would be stronger is reduced to new square format as much of the top is contributing little to the overall image. I would slightly tone down his hands as they are the brightest part of the image and so draw attention away from his face. |

Photographing dark animals and birds always creates a challenge in bringing up sufficient detail on the fur or feathers without making them appear too light. Your mono version has brought up the detail on much of the fur but has left the area around the eyes a little dark and a reduced level of separation between the head and shoulders. I would also apply a gradient to darken down the out of focus grass in the background slightly. |
