Lizards can be very difficult to photograph as they are usually to long for the frame, so going for a detail shot of the head area is good idea. Getting it with its toungue out just adds a little action to the shot. I would not flip a images such as this as the right to left movement suggests moving into the scene and left to right moving out of it. |

I like your framing, the concentration on the lady's face and your darkening of the background. Your cloning etc at the top of the head is very obvious, I would have suggested creating an underneath dark layer and then layer masking with a very soft brush to create a smoother transition on to her hair. As you say it is little soft have you tried the 'shake reduction' in PS as it can sharpen thing up? |

I can see the attraction of the image as you saw it, unfortunately without careful adjusting of exposure a camera will not always reproduce how we are interpreting what we see. There was potentially an interesting image there with the strong side lighting but it needed a a lot more exposure to bring out the detail etc. |

I really like the heavy, stormy sky over the distant mountains, it creates a great atmosphere. To me the foreground is much too dominant, with the two light patches of snow and the rocks competing for attention rather than the distant hills being the main centre of interest. |

I like your positioning of the building and path in the scene. The path leads though to the group of buildings in the distance. To me the gate is acting as a block, as it is constructed of quite heavy timber, without it there it would be just a pleasant garden/building scene, I feel you need to get close to the gate so as to frame your image looking through only one of the 'windows' , but still showing that there was an interesting structure being viewed through |
