To me this is a typical safari shot of the lioness and her cubs. Having been on safaris on several occasions - I have seen that most photographers will work shooting through the roof hatch which gives a high viewpoint rather than the lower down windows - this does make quite a difference in the perspective of the shots particularly if the animals are relatively close to the vehicle. I always prefer to see shots taken from a lower viewpoint rather than looking down onto the subject. |

Looking at your original I feel that the strong back/side lighting did you no favours. I like your inclusion of a new sky, and the removal of un-required figures in the background. I feel that your use of a texture has reduced the contrast a little too much particularly around her eyes. I like Brad wonder why there is the figurine in the corner. |

I really like your tonal enhancements to the image, they have definitely made it stand out. looking at your original image I wonder whether it was taken with a very wide lens and the converging/sloping verticals were a result of not having the lens perfectly level. To correct the verticals you would probably have been better to use a perspective correction, distortion that would have stretched the top of the image wider to create a trapezoid shape, rather than trying to use image rotation. |

Your final image really reflects the complicated process that you used to create it, an excellent image. There are a couple of white lights on the horizon which attract attention from the lighthouse beam and the Milky Way which I feel would be better removed. |

I like your idea, and feel that removing the foliage from the weir was a definite improvement and I particularly like your reflection in the glass. I feel that your treatment of the distant shoreline has been too strong it is far too blurred so that too much detail is lost and it has a very hard edge against the sky which is out of keeping with the softness applied to the buildings. |
