Your use of HDR has greatly enhanced the colours and the detail in the image. I can see that the join of the 2 buildings and the left side of the tower are almost vertical, I feel that they should be vertical and that some transformation is needed to right side of the image to bring that back into vertical. |

A very well constructed image, which gives the impression that was 'taken as seen'.
I like the looking up to the flower head. I would suggest like Brad that the white fringe to theta of the flower is removed. |

There is a wonderful expression on the girls face. As you say it was taken under not ideal conditions, which have resulted in a very shallow depth of field. To me this is an excellent image for the family album and to celebrate the arrival of the new born. To use it else where I would be inclined to try cropping off 3/4 of the image just to concentrate on the girl's face. |

Your treatment has really transformed the image, having brought up all the detail on the ground and in the cacti. Personally I find the sky too dominant and my eye keeps going to the swirl on the right which appears to be rather un-natural to me. i wonder have preferred to see the sky toned down somewhat. I also feel that the back lighting around the cacti could have been enhanced more. |
