Thanks Bev. I have been to butterfly world in Florida. It is wonderful. It's much better than what we have up here in Philadelphia, due to the warmer weather down there. I had a lot of fun trying to get good shots. Challenging but also enjoyable. |

Jamie, I love this image. The combination of leading lines in both the water and the sky is great. I cropped the sky a bit to put more emphasis on the lines leading into the sun. I also tried to tone down the hottest spots in the sun and the reflection just a bit. |

Thanks Lloyd. Yes I had the camera on the ground and was using the screen to focus. I'm not as good at that yet, which may have contributed to my not seeing that I needed more depth of field. |

Tom, you climbed up to the top of the glass!! Now you've really creeped me out!! I have that lens and love it, but it is pretty heavy, which is why I wondered how you managed. |

Hi Donald, welcome to the group. Your shot of the flower is beautiful. I like the sharpness and all the detail that you captured. I agree that the background is a bit too hot because it distracts from your great shot of the flower. Maybe you can select the flower in Photoshop and invert the mask and then pull the brightness down on the background. |

Lloyd, I really like this image. You do a great job of processing in Photoshop. I love the way you composed the shot with the trees are "sprinkled" across the scene. I also like the soft feeling of the whites in the scene. This picture makes me want to head for the nearest fireplace to warm up. |

Tom, wow! Great shot, but I have to say it gives me the creeps looking at it!! Were you shooting handheld? If so, you must have a very steady hand considering your shutter speed at that focal length. The head is tack sharp. I'm also wondering if you had to shoot this through glass. |

Bev, this is a great image. I really admire photographers who were able to take such wonderful pictures on film. Seems so much more difficult than digital. If you have Topaz software, you may be able to use it in combination with Photoshop. Topaz has very good noise reduction which may help. |

Paul, I will say that I agree with Tom's comments. But, I love the starburst you captured and its reflection on the building. I also love the very deep blue sky against the building. |

Thanks Paul. I think I needed a higher aperture setting, like F8, to get a larger depth of field. |
