Yes, it was very cold in the wind on the beach at the Jersey shore too. By the time I left I was having trouble packing up my gear because my hands were so cold they didn't want to grip anything. |

Thanks Margaret. This was the first time I tried it. Even though I know my camera pretty well, I found it hard to find the buttons I wanted in the dark. There was a lot of moisture in the air that night and as the temperature dropped, everything fogged up. It was fun to get a nice image, but I'm not sure how much I'll keep doing it. |

Lloyd, what a great capture!! You were right that the group makes a wonderful photo. How did you know that the foal was only a day old? Were you there for a few days watching the horses? |

Jamie, you did a great job of photographing the shell. The image really captures my eye. I like your edits, but I also liked the way the original black background seems to make the shell really pop. I can see the spots you wanted to remove. I was wondering whether spot healing could have gotten rid of them or maybe clone stamping, using the black background that is farther away from the shell. |

Margaret, this was a clever idea for an abstract. Turning it on it's side really makes it look less like a shot of the badlands. I really like the detail and striations in the rocks. You may have been able to use a lower ISO if the shutter speed had been a bit slower. Fun image. |

Bev, this photo of the flower is beautiful and I really like your editing. As Lloyd mentioned, the choice of background and the stroke line really set the flower off. The only thing I don't like is the hot spots. The white edges and the yellow spot seem a little blown out to me. |

Tom, this is a really great capture. The colors and details in the stork are beautiful. The one thing I don't like as much is the white edge around the bird. To me it gives a slight feeling of the bird being pasted onto the background. |

Paul, I love this shot! The sharp focus of the horses against the softer background is great! It looks like there was slight mist or fog in the air when you took it. Great shot! |

Thanks Lloyd. I'll take a look at darkening the exposure. |
