Bev, on closer inspection, I realized that the original and edited versions of my photo are backwards. |

Lloyd, thanks for your comments. I actually did lighten the shadows, etc. The original and edited versions are backwards. |

Thanks, Jamie, I actually realized when I looked again, that my original and edited versions are reversed. I didn't do a lot to the photo, but I did crop out some of the dead branches on the right and the dead, brown spot at the top right. I also brightened it a little to make the purple flowers stand out more. |

Jamie, it's a great capture. When I looked at the photo, his face drew me in immediately, making me wonder what happened. Your edits do a really nice job of focusing the full attention on his face. |

I've been there and I remember how difficult it was to find a way to capture the immenseness of the trees. I really like your approach. The trees are great and I like Bev's edit. |

This scene is lovely. Because you used a wide angle lens, I think you actually need the poles for interest in the foreground. I like the way the line of poles leads you into the scene. |

Margaret, You'd enjoy it. They've done a beautiful job on the gardens. It's like walking through a postcard. It's called Chanticleer Garden. The address is 786 Church Rd Wayne, PA. They have a website. It's $10/person admission. You have to reserve parking in advance. Weekdays are best, fewer people. |

Lloyd, I love this scene. The feeling of being able to see a large expanse is great and the fall colors are wonderful. I'm admiring the way you used the wide angle lens to make the scene very interesting. I have been trying to learn how to take better photos with my wide angle lens, so I'm admiring what you did. Were you low to the ground when you took this? |

This is a tough choice for me. I love the beautiful colors and the effect of the swirl. It almost looks like a piece of blown glass art. It's a lovely effect. The tough choice is that I love the original photo as well, with the beautiful detail of the flower and the water droplets. |
