Hi Darcy,
I think there is plenty of detail left in those areas. I took your color image and applied a standard B&W profile to it in lightroom. |

Interesting subject. I'd sort of like to see more detail at where the tree broke (along with the tree in the center with all the moss covered limbs), and get less of the distracting sky in the background. |

I agree with your son! Very cool colors and interesting effect! I enjoyed looking at all the details in the different parts of the image.
It takes me back to my days in Berkeley! Thanks for sharing this. |

I really love the light on the tree on this one. The sky is great as well.
I'd like to see more of the wildflowers. I wonder if it would have been possible to closer and/or lower to the flowers. A slightly tighter crop in the bottom and the left might be interesting, as well. |

Love the color and subject. You may want to try cropping/darkening the water in foreground some, I find it somewhat distracting from main subject.
When I click on the image to see it in more detail, I see a lot of strange artifacts in the sky and halos around the tree limbs. This may have been a=caused by getting the photo down to 1 MB. |

I really like how the teepees illuminate the scene. It really draws the viewer's eyes in, without blowing the highlights.
I'd like to see just a little more detail in the trees and mountain in the background. |

Sorry for the lack of details. I thought I sent them.

With the surf, I usually take a bunch of exposures, varying the exposure and wave timing. You are looking for a nice "happy accident" (as Bob Ross used to say). |
