This shot make me really miss the west coast! Peaceful indeed (or as peaceful as the Pacific gets).
Regarding your crop, I liked the water lines on the beach. You may want to limit the crop to just remove the rock in the lower-left (or clone it out), and crop some of the top to make the sky less prominent. Also the horizon needs a slight bit of straightening. The house on the left is a little cut-off.
Tone-wise, it seems a little too bright, especially the sky. You may want to try dropping the exposure a little and increasing shadows to bring out the detail in the rocks. |

Very well executed Paul. Really love the dramatic sky and the different lines, layers, and textures. Excellent choice to turn this into a B&W image. |

Very nice image. Love the ice and snow on the branches and the fog is perfect. Nice patience. I also like how you cropped it. The hole in the snow in the bottom right is somewhat of a distraction. Personally, I would have just cloned it out.
I have to admit, that other than the cropping I don't see much difference between the finals and the 3 originals. One of the things I find frustrating with the discussion group is the 1 MB limit. I know pixel peeping is often nonproductive, but I always wonder if the lack of sharpness/detail (not applicable to this photo!) I see in some images is due to a problem in the capture/post-processing or a by-product of the image file reduction. |

I agree that cropping/cloning more of the bottom grass at the bottom would be helpful. You may also want to crop some of the top off as well.
It took me a while to figure out what the orange was. Did you get any shots at 300mm of the plane doing the drops (maybe with a faster shutter speed)?
Also try playing with clarity and dehaze sliders to bring out more details in the mountain. |

Very nice scene and I like the leading line of the stream. Have you tried cropping off some of the left and bottom to make the grass in the lower left so prominent?
Also I would suggest boosting the contrast.

This must be a really old image. I love the lighting and colors, but the noise is pretty distracting. |
