Great sense of place. Love the leading lines. I'd sort of like to see this with a longer exposure time to smooth out the water. |

I feel black and white images work best when there is a lot of contrast. It was hard for me to pick out a subject to focus on. You may want to try using dodging and burning to help guide the viewer. |

You definitely succeeded! Great shot. The bird is a fine subject looks sharp, and the color of the background really set it off. I like how the background is blurred.
The one suggestion I would make is to crop a little off the bottom and top (4x5 vs 4x6) to make the heron even more prominent. |
