Alex,
This is a very nice photo that certainly has a strong diagonal line to increase its interest. I especially like your post processing. It really makes the image pop too me.
You had two very good images to choose from as your comment to Richard illustrates. |

Lou,
I like the detail you brought out in the lighthouse itself. The sharpness of the trees don't bother me - actually nothing in the image bothers me.
That being said, I think I would have increased the vibrance a bit if it were my image. I like saturated colors. :-)

Pete, this is another beautiful image that be cropped in several ways, as Drema pointed out. To me your crop focuses on the crater and mountains. Drema's focuses on the clouds. Both make for very interesting photos.
As I understand it, when flying alone and your drone loses signal, it will return to home automatically. What happens when it gets confused? Did anyone have trouble with their drones getting confused? |

Drema, Another interesting graphic design. Great cropping to eliminate the cars. You wanted the blue tones to stand out. I am wondering what applying a blue tone to the entire image would look it? So many filter options are possible for such an image. |

Hi Lisa, I commend you for hanging tough with all the beeping. :-) Your image makes for a great graphic. It would have been nice to capture all of the umbrellas. Perhaps being a bit higher might have done that. Given what you captured I would not crop it. |

I don't think I have ever seen a ship go under the bridge. :-)
I agree, that would certainly make for a more interesting shot. My goal was to document the fact that no cars were on the bridge or the ramp leading up to it. That is pretty rare for a bridge that normally has thousands of car traffic per day. |

Thanks for for your comments, Drema. I did not think about expanding the sky. Actually, in hindsight rather than a square aspect ratio, perhaps a portrait one might work better here. I want to emphasize in the photo, that it was just not break in the traffic that I caught in the scene, but there was no traffic at all.
Also, going to a portrait mode would allow trimming some of the containers on the left you suggested..

Thanks for the comments, Alex. I could have tilted the camera up a bit to capture more sky. Did not think of that. |
