Alex, I liked your posted version, especially the color enhancement you applied. You have captured an image that opens up quite a variety of alternate interpretations, as has been pointed out by others. |

Hi Richard,
I really like the image showing the bright fall colors. Your post processing of the original really makes the colors pop.
Although, your image is not totally symmetrical, I still find it pleasing.
Ging above the AGL limit would probably yield a better pattern, but...
Not only did you gain a new friend, but also a new flying spot you can explore more fully in the future.
Good job! |

Thanks, Alex. That is a nice shot. Ilike the way the cloud layer leaves a bit of clear sky above the water. |

Richard, I had not considered cropping the white water. It is certainly not the most interesting part of my photo. I will take a look at that. It might even improve the overall composition. |

Drema, to be honest, I did not consider the rule of thirds etc when I took this photo. I just liked the way it looked.
Generally speaking, I do try to apply good composition rules when I take a photo. Perhaps I could have moved the drone a bit to the left and still had a shot that would show the colors of the water and better placed the rock. |

I will take a look at darkening the shoreline in the upper right. |

Pete,
I thought of that. I do like the changing color of the water however. Next time. :-)

Hi Lou,
No doubt about it, this is a great shot! If I were lucky or good enough to have taken it, I would be tempted to see what it would look like as a BW image. |

Hi Pete,
I love the rich colors and shadows of your image. Again, it is a reminder to me that to get the best shot, we sometime have to leave our comfort zone.
On my monitor the bright lighting on the mesa appears somewhat yellow. I would probably have added a bit of orange tint. |

Lisa, regarding the using the DJI app and seeing the photo stats, determining what altitude your drone is at, I find that it is not very accurate. Actually, I think it plane wrong. I have better luck using the recorded flight path video within the Flight Records under Me within the iOS DJI Go 4 app. |

I have done something similar once. But I cheated. I output was a composite image. Still difficult to handle the controller and DSLR when you take the drone image. Good job! And as has been suggested, I used a tripod for the drone shot.
Also, I would be tempted to try to darken the sky and add orange to the moon. I guess that cheating but it would fun to try. |

Lisa,
I really like your frame grab. Saturated colors are my favorite. In this case they look like a fresh coat of paint has been applied to an old structure.
What I really like is how you displayed with the link taking me to the vide which I really liked. I may try something similar in a future post. |
