Alex, like others have stated, your use of diagonal lines is excellent. I believe this scene is one that could possibly be improved as an HDR image. To lighten the foreground, you had to blowout the sun a bit.
That being said, I really like the composition. It sounds like an interesting location to shoot. Not to fair from where I live. I need to take advantage of that. |

I really like your image, Lou. I need to try to take more night shots. At first, I was indifferent as to the two bright lights, but now I agree with your removal of them.
I wish the cityscape lights were a bit brighter. Perhaps adjusting the highlights in LR or masking would allow you to brightening them just a bit without overexposing them might work.
The night images you and others in the group create inspire me to try more night photography.

Pete, this is a very nice image. Its graphic design opens up many possibilities of interpretation.
As I look at it, I begin to see the diagonal stream or whatever it is seems to take on the appearance of a stem leading up to a bouquet of flowers. I think I would have built on that illusion by selectively increasing the saturation of those I see as the flowers.

You know, Drema, I never even noticed the muddiness of the water until I saw the post here. I am going to have to look at again on my computer. |

Alex, I believe I did take a 360 panorama, so I will have to look through those shots. One may be indeed pointing down. |

Richard, I considered replacing the sky with one with some clouds, something I often do. But I was concerned about my ability to create the cloud reflections in the water.
Thanks for the feedback. |

This is a great image, Drema. I can only imagine what it would look like shot with drone with a Zoom camera. You certainly captured the Fall colors magnificently.
The sky takes up a good portion of your image.
If I remember right, you prefer not to replace skies - Not a bad approach for sure. I am the opposite. If I was lucky enough to capture this image, I probably would have replaced the sky with one that was more interesting (IMO) that include some clouds. |

Welcome to the group, Richard. You really got off to a great start with this image.
I like the diagonal lines the road makes leading into the image beyond just the main subject, the bridge itself.
A great shot! |

I really like the photo you chose. To me the image is all about the color of the stone. The vertical shot does highlight the shadows, but totally misses displaying the rock colors.
My eyes do not see the bowing.
I am going to go there on my next trip to Vegas, with drone of course. |
