Thanks, Lisa. You are probably right about the distractions. |

Janos, there is nothing I can offer that would improve on the image you took. I love the reflection of the buildings in the distance.
In fact, as an entirely different interpretation of the scene, I wonder what a severally cropped image focusing on the buildings and their reflection would look like? With today's post processing technology such treatment is certainly possible. |

Lou, I really like your image. If it were mine, I probably would not have cloned out the buildings in the foreground, and I would have been dinged by a photo reviewer for not doing it. :-)
I guess like has been mentioned, I would have toned down the blue in the sky a bit. |

Pete,
To me the big thing that made this a great shot was converting it to B&W after doing the merging. There is nothing I can add that would improve the image. It would be interesting to see what Original 2 would have looked it post-processed in a similar manner.
BTW I read and thoroughly enjoyed your article in the journal. |

Drema, the trouble with being last to comment, is that generally speaking it has all been said. I thank that is the case here. But here goes anyway.
I like the diagonal lines and your use of a vertical panorama. Since the sky is so plan and a minimum part of the scene, I would convert the image to B&W.
Personally, the tree at the bottom adds nothing to the scene. I would have probably cropped it out. On the other hand I hardly notice it is there. |

Thanks, Janos. Some might say I am a bit inconsistent in my approach, but... |

Pete, I am always torn between documenting the scene as it exists and cloning etc out manmade, permanent objects. Which is contradictory to my willingness to use Photoshop to do whatever I can to make the image more pleasing to me. :-) |

You're right, Lou. I thought of cropping or cloning that out, but I did not. |
