Might try to go back on Sunday, which is to be better weather. I understand Mt Baldy is receiving record snow. I see your point about cropping and making the aspect ratio more panoramic. |

In hindsight, I might have improved the image by selectively using the Clarity filter or Dehaze filter just over the buildings to increase the contrast. A task for another day. |

Janos, you live in a beautiful part of the world. I like the placement of the castle. It adds to showing the wide expanse of the lake. If the image only included the lake, it would not be nearly as dramatic to me. Yes, you could have gotten a closer picture of the castle, but that is another image, one the you may already have captured. |

I love this photo, Pete. You have a real talent in turning a pretty uninteresting (at least to me) photograph into a work of art. Did your post processing adjustments create the sky, or did you swap in a different one? Either way, it really adds to the photo. |

Hi Drema,
Well like everyone else, I really like what you did to the clouds. Although I like Pete's vertical cropping, I believe I like the original cropping better. to be honest, if I were goung to hang the photo, the version I would hang would depend upon the frame I had and the location. AKA they are both excellent, but different photos. :-) |

Pete and Lou,
That is a good point regarding the composition. Lou, I should look into cropping of the tree entirely, and perhaps some of the right edge to maintain a similar aspect ratio. |
