Pete and Drema,
Perhaps a way that I can bring out a bit more detail in mountains and foreground is applying a bit of Clarity in LR.

Janos,
Like you, often shoot with my drone on Auto. I do I have an ND filter attached. I like the saturation of colors. I wonder if you might have achieved what others are suggesting through their crops by flying a bit lower. One hundred and sixty-nine meters is pretty high. Flying lower would have allowed you to focus more on the castle and its shadows.

Lou,
As others have said, I like what you have done to add color to the sand to make it look more realistic - at least to me.
I am a fan of saturated colors so I would have cropped the image so the trees would have been included. As evidenced by the cropping suggestions, this image can be viewed in multiple ways depending on one's preference. |

Hi Pete,
I like what you ended up with in your image. You certainly picked a great TOD to fly and photograph the train. The first thing that hit me was the slopping of the white line at the base of the mountains. I would have straightened that.
Given the lighting, do you think you needed all five exposures, or is five standard setting?
P.S. Looking forward to your presentation to our camera club in November. |

Drema,
I really like your shot, and the way you corrected the stitching errors. I use PTGui and found that it generally does a good job of stitching. I totally appreciate your reluctance to going out further into the water to get the view you wanted.
I am curious about the number of panels you used. Why so many? Did you manually take them, doing something like taking two rows?
I would be very happy if I captured this image. |

I will have to give that a try. It might make the foreground more interesting. |

This is a very interesting abstract, Lisa. What altitude do you think you were at to take this image. If your title had not given it away, I would have struggled to recognize what the image was, which I guess is a good thing for abstracts.
I am not sure what bothers you about taking traditional landscapes from your drone, but for me, I wish my Mavic Pro had a zoom lens.
I wonder what the image would look like as a B&W? |

Hi Julie,
Seems like you are getting a hang of flying your new drone quick rapidly, if you are willing to fly over water. :-)
I agree with Janos in that it might be fun to experiment with BW, since the color is somewhat muted anyway.
I am wondering, it appears you removed the objects in the upper right corner by some sort of cloning. Perhaps cropping that area and making the image more of a panoramic view might also be used.
