Janos, I think you have captured a lovely image. I do agree with others regarding it might be improved if the lower right portion of the lake were darkened a bit, as well as the finger at the bottom.
Taking the photo from that altitude was an excellent choice to get in the entire lake. |

I guess I am off base here a bit. To me the cart is part of the total story and serves that purpose. On the other hand, if the story is about the symmetry of the traps etc, then the cart is distracting.
I am curious. Did you launch the drone from outside of the golf course, or did you get their permission to fly from there? |

Pete, what a great shot. In my opinion you took an already excellent color photo and created a work of art. Like Janos, this photo has inspired me to experiment more with bracketing and HDR with my drone.
P.S. Looking forward to your presentation to our camera club in November. |

Drema, being late to the party, I am afraid I have little to offer to the discussion. It is a very interesting and shot. I especially like the diagonal lines formed by the road.
As viewed here I do not see the lack of sharpness others have noted, but my eyes are old.
I am interested it what drone you have, since it appears you can set the aperture. I cannot do that (I do not think) on my Mavic Pro. |

Hi Lisa,
What a clever idea to document the festivities in this way. I agree with Drema, but often forget in practice, that drone shots do not have to always be taken from a high altitude.
As also mentioned, screenshots can often be extracted from the video to create a stunning image.
Regarding the video itself, it would be far more effective if it were trimmed substantially in my opinion. It is over two minutes long. Generally, video clips can be most effective if they are 30 seconds or less and sometimes significantly less. Perhaps a short video centered around the still shot would be something to try? |
