The simple answer to that is that I am concerned about losing the sight of my drone. I am constantly shifting my eyes back and forth from the drone and my iPhone screen. Each time it takes seconds to find the drone again. On this particular day, the screen was very faint given the bright light.
OK, I confess - I'm chicken. :-)

Thank you for your comments, Drema. You are absolutely right regarding the image could have been much better if it was shot later in the day for example, but I was not there then. I need to keep the golden hour in mind when I go on a photo shoot of any kind.
I do like your comments regarding maintaining a bit of haze in distant mountains. |

Lou, in my opinion you really improved the lighting. Like Pete, I am wondering what it would look like if you cropped in to create an image around the fishermen in the lower left. Starting with a video frame, you probably don't have enough pixels to make a quality crop. But maybe Photoshop's Supersize command may help.
Flying down the river would make a nice video (that may be what you did) and if the drone ended up in the drink, you would at least have a lot of fishermen to help you recover it. :-) |

Pete, you really did improve the original with your post processing in my opinion. Also, flipping the image definitely creates a more natural eye movement into the image.
The horizon seems to be a bit slanted to my eye. Perhaps using the straighten tool on the upper left part of horizon may help a bit.
Including the people was a nice touch. I should have done that with my entry this month to make it more interesting. |

Very nice image, Drema. What I like best about the photo is the saturated colors. To me, the original image water reflection was pleasing already. The modification did not add to its appeal to me.
What drone do you have, Drema? The camera settings do not look familiar to me. |
