Lou, that was the only angle I was able to get on this flight. What interested me most was the clouds and sky. |

Lisa, that was the only angle I could get during the flight. The housing development was too far away to get much closer and still maintain VLOS. |

The sky is what I was concentrating on. From where I was flying, if I had taken the shot from a higher altitude or flown closer, it would better shown the density of the houses. To do either would have jeopardized VLOS.
I most likely used Lightroom CC during post. I do not think I added any sharpening. I probably should have. As someone else pointed out, the Mavic Pro uses a fixed aperture lens. I do have an ND filter installed. |

Hi Lou,
Being the last one to comment on this photo, I do not want to fall into a me too category. I really like your image. The only thing I would have added in post is to increase the contrast and the color of the water. But that would have just brought it closer to my preference for photos in general. |

Hi Bob,
I have read Dick Burr's comments on your photo, and I am not sure I could improve upon them. I do think I would have tried to center it a bit more. That may have required flying a bit higher. IMO that would improve the symmetry. |

I have the same concerns. In my case it is about being caught by the police. I don't feel I am braking any laws, but nervous just the same.
I have done exactly like you did, fly from the top floor of a parking garage. It looks like you are barely above the garage. Assuming I am right, it is an excellent example of getting a picture using your drone that would not be possible otherwise.
It appears you added some snap to the original that I like. I suspect that COVID-19 made so you could take the picture when no people were around in the garage or park. |
