3 Oct 25 Comment Kieu-Hanh, beautiful image of the fisherman, net, waterfalls. It tells a lovely story. The tree leaves on the left lead the eye to the fisherman and then into the scene. The waterfalls look so full. I bet the sound of them was wonderful! I don't find the people on the ledge to be a distraction except for the one with pink that is in between the two falls. Very beautiful image and great travel photo! Oct 19th
3 Oct 25 Comment Joan, what a delightfully playful image. I read what Andres and Ruth mentioned so I wanted to let you know there is a tool in camera raw that takes care of reflections. I am wondering if that would solve the issue of the cat's face behind the glass door. Oct 19th
3 Oct 25 Comment Robert, A wonderful image of the bald eagle. The eagle is very sharp and you captured the glint in the eye. I like the composition of your crop as well. I noticed you took down the highlights of the background and that helps immensely but if you blur or darken a bit more that would really remove any distraction. Nice image. Oct 19th
3 Oct 25 Comment Andres, beautiful work! I recommend you print, frame and hang on your wall. Just lovely. Oct 19th
3 Oct 25 Comment Ruth, this is my favorite season and I always look forward to seeing your images from autumn! You have captured a beautiful scene of aspen trees with the golden leaves and the sunburst just makes it really pop. The path leading into the grove with the shadows of the tree trunks leads me into the forest! I am a bit distracted by the trees leaning to the right so I straightened it a bit which loses part of the evergreen on the left. Not sure it makes a difference really, just my perspective. Beautiful image. Oct 19th
3 Oct 25 Reply Ruth, thank you for your comments. My shutter speed was 1/800 which isn't that good for a hummingbird....I think I lucked out on this one! Oct 18th
3 Oct 25 Reply Andres, thank you for your comments. My settings were f/8, 1/800, ISO 250. I believe this was one of those lucky shots as the shutter speed wasn't really that good for a hummingbird! Oct 18th

39 Oct 25 Comment Paul, I agree that this subject is difficult to do in monochrome but has alot of potential. It may lend itself to a nice abstract by increasing contrast and texture and then cropping in to the curves in the middle. Or taking images from various perspectives with different lighting. It is a nice plant to work with for various images. Oct 19th
39 Oct 25 Comment Vincent, captivating composition as the shoreline and cliff come to a point which leads the viewer into the scene. I like how the people give the cliff scale. My only suggestion is to add a bit of contrast to bring out the textures in the cliff and the rocky shore. Oct 19th
39 Oct 25 Comment Paul, nice story here of a fisherman in such a busy harbor! The tones/contrast work very well. I also like how the black and white bring out the dramatic sky. Nice image! Oct 19th
39 Oct 25 Comment Adrian, what a sight you have captured here. It must have been something to see with the hippo on guard and spooking the wildebeest and zebras as they made their way into the water crossing. We were there in 2020 and learned that hippos are extremely territorial and aggressive. I appreciate how all the action is sharp. I agree with Bob regarding contrast and to maybe adjust the highlights from the dust on the down slope. Great capture and image. Oct 19th
39 Oct 25 Comment Bob, what an eerie yet magical feel you have captured. I like the way the lighting under the banister shows the carpet design and the light from above causes the shadows on the wall. The detail is there throughout. Very nice image. Oct 19th
39 Oct 25 Comment David, you have accomplished a very nice conversion into monochrome with this image that has so much yellow and light green. I agree with Paul that the out of focus flower is a distraction. I suggest trying to add more contrast to make the texture on the wings and the pink on the edge of the wings stand out more. Oct 19th
39 Oct 25 Comment Thank you for your comments, Paul. I see what you mean about being lower...perhaps the top of the archway would have be more visible. Maybe a reason to return? Oct 18th
39 Oct 25 Reply Hi Michael, thanks for visiting! and I appreciate your comments. I only took the phone on this trip and it worked out well taking the images in raw format. However, I did see others with their cameras and I had a twinge of regret! Oct 18th
39 Oct 25 Reply Thank you for your comments! I see what you mean by cropping out the first dark step. Oct 18th

83 Oct 25 Comment Hi Michael, I prefer the wider angle version, although both tell a story. I like to see the context and the wider angle version really lets the viewer know that this is out in the middle of nowhere! Nice images. Oct 18th
