3 Jul 25 Comment Andres, what a fabulous trip. I have never been to Iceland but I hear it is a nature paradise. I like the perspective of your image and the foreground of the wildflowers and the wet area. It leads my eye right into the image to appreciate the water, mountain and sky. Cloudy skies make for some interesting landscape images, in my opinion. I think you have a nice image here and you can do many edits with it to bring out what you desire to tell your story of the scene. Jul 15th
3 Jul 25 Comment Robert, I like taking photos from hotel windows....sometimes the best views can be captured. I really appreciate the tighter crop version. The focus is on the Salesforce building and there is also so much more detail that comes out such as the street with lights on the left. and I can see into the lit windows of the buildings in the foreground which tells a story of living in the city. Very nice capture. Jul 15th
3 Jul 25 Comment Joan, great shot of of your kitten and nice memory. I was taken with her beautiful eyes staring into the camera and the nice glint in both. Also, great detail in the fur, and all those whiskers. Cute pet image bringing back fond memories. Jul 15th
3 Jul 25 Comment Kieu-Hahn, What an interesting neighborhood in Greece and rightly nicknamed, Little Venice! I like how you captured the bright colored homes overlooking that beautiful blue sea. I also appreciate the red reflection in the lower right as it must be one of the houses that is not in the photo. It would be interesting to see a bit more of the buildings as suggested by Joan. I would suggest taking down some highlight in the lower clouds and maybe use the dehaze in the background. Another nice travel image. Jul 15th
3 Jul 25 Comment Ruth, beautiful image of the columbines! I like how you darkened the background. The crop puts the flowers in the center yet at a diagonal with nice flower and bud in the upper right. The bokeh is nice too. Did you saturate the color a bit on the columbines? The color seems more vibrant than in the original. Lovely image! Jul 15th

39 Jul 25 Reply Paul, thank you for your comments. It is amazing what the camera on phones can capture now! Jul 7th
39 Jul 25 Comment Paul, what a great find! Old buildings make for great black and white photographs with the textures and, of course, the stories they leave behind. My eye keeps going to the cloud and sign in the upper left so maybe bring down the brightness there a bit. And, I am curious what is in the dark left of the porch, so maybe bring up the shadow there a bit. Very interesting abandoned site...I wonder what stories it could tell? Jul 7th
39 Jul 25 Comment Vincent, I am enjoying all of your dance images! I agree with Paul that the background is a little too bright. But I appreciate the "softness" of the dancers as it feels soothing and very "dancerly" I also really like the positions of their legs moving up and to the side at various points leading the eye into the right of the scene and showing the soft, silky dresses. I think if you take the brightness down of the background, this is a very nice image. Jul 7th
39 Jul 25 Comment Paul, what a very creative shadow image! Are those hanging objects lights? And the texture behind them...is that from a screen or shade through which the sun is shining? Very intriguing image. My only thought is to bring up the contrast a bit. Jul 7th
39 Jul 25 Comment Adrian, it is amazing what our phones can do! You have done a nice edit here with correcting the perspective. Your black and white version highlights all the intricate detail of the textures and the ominous clouds. I like that the people are walking into the frame as it gives it a story and shows some perspective as to the size of the opera house. Great travel image. Jul 7th
39 Jul 25 Comment David, what a great capture of the black tern. You are correct, they are very difficult to photograph with the constant flight and moves! I was surprised to see your shutter speed at 200, too, but the bird hovered for you! I appreciate the composition with the reeds giving the image depth and the bird in the left third. Did you sharpen the black and white version at all as it looks sharper than the original to me. Very nice image! Jul 7th
