Joan, what a great editing job on this image! I love how the colors really pop and the textures are highlighted. I like the angle at which the photo was taken. I know it is an old truck and lets me imagine the rest! Very nicely done. |

Kieu-Hanh, what a lovely scene and perspective from which you took the image. The red on the elephants bring the view right to them against the yellowish surroundings and then the path leads right into the background. I notice that the background appears hazy and yet the elephants are clear. Was there a haze over the area that day? I imagine riding an elephant would be quite the adventure and being so high up would be scary! What a great capture of this memorable time. |

Robert, great image. I like the focus being on the birds in the bath and like others, the interaction between the one in the bath and the one flying in. Your crop and object removal work well. Very nice image and reminds us that spring will arrive! |

Michael, what a humorous street photograph and, yes, we can all use that these days! I chuckled. I like how it all clicks...the boy in the poster is laughing so hard, no dogs allowed signage and then the dog sitting there taking it all in. Great image. |

Andres, it is always fun to take images at auto shows and you have captured this taillight and fin just right. I like the way it leads at an angle and almost looks like it might come out of the picture like 3D. there is also a reflection of someone walking wearing what looks like a red plaid jacket in the chrome. I can see the foot step. Very nice image. |

Hi Ruth,
What a great scene to photograph with the surfer in the lower left and the curve of the beach leading into the image. The clouds add drama. I like the monochrome conversion very much. And I, personally, appreciate the contrast. But I will share that in my camera club competition I entered a beach scene and was advised by the judge to bring out the detail in the foreground and the trees in the background. You might want to consider that with the trees in the background...not my personal taste but wanted to share that. Very nice image. |

Hi Paul, I was drawn to the old tree at the end of the road and liked how the row of the orchard trees and road led into it. Since you can't see beyond the curve, I liked the bit of mystery. I tried to experiment a bit with the camera in taking it. I have learned a great deal from all the comments and suggestions! |

Fran, you have captured a scene for a holiday card! It is difficult to take good photos of snow. I like the snow on the tree limbs as it looks like the branches can hardly manage it. I agree with Vincent that you have two images here as he described. |

Paul, there is also a new tool now in Photoshop that will take out unwanted wires. |

David, what a nice cityscape image with reflections. I like the starbursts on the lights. I think the foliage frames the photo nicely. Not sure if you are aware, but camera raw/photoshop now has a feature to remove wires automatically. I am not bothered by them but thought I would pass it along. Lovely image. |

Hi Fran, thank you for your comments. I was advised to shoot in black and white to really get a feel for what I am trying to achieve. I shoot in raw so when I download the images into camera raw, I do get the color version and I am attaching the original in color for you to see. I played with this one using the in-camera red filter in an attempt to get an infrared look. |
