Joan, this image has a very soothing and painterly feel to it. I like how the trees in the background almost look monochrome bringing out the vibrant colors of the fall foliage. |

Hi Andres, I like the look of waves that the lead the eye up to the right and then into the clouds. There is various textures here too between the mountain and sky. It does have a very abstract feel to it. I agree with others that this works better in monochrome. |

Michael, I really enjoy looking at this image. What a great capture of this woman enjoying her cigarette and coffee...very nice street photography. I like the vibrant colors and the reflection of her and the sky in the table. Keen eye! Nicely done. I haven't been to Europe in a few years and surprised to hear about the water being served there without a request for it. |

Ruth, this is a beautiful image and the lone walker gives it scale. I appreciate both versions...in the color version I can see the beautiful fall colors of the trees and appreciate the snow. I agree with others that the crop here is too tight on the top. The monochrome version works well with the tones and lines of the dunes and the walker is more apparent. I agree that cropping off the trees in this version works better. |

Robert, what a great capture! Everything is sharp and tells a story of an empty birdfeeder in winter. Ruth's version is nice but I agree with Kieu-Hanh that it depends on the story you wish to convey. Very nice image. |

Kieu-Hanh, I admire your images depicting all of your travels! I have never been to India but I imagine it is fascinating and colorful. I hear it can overwhelm all the senses. This image captures the camel and riders well. I do agree with Michael's comments and I saw your response...understandable why the crop is so tight. |

Vincent, lots going on here! A massive operation! Yes, a worker would have been nice but you are right in that the steps give it some scale. You did a nice conversion to black and white and brought out detail. I agree with David that it seems flat and his edit works well. |

David, nice conversion to black and white. I think the blurred hand gives the feeling of movement, thus the strumming of the guitar. I appreciate the contrast that shows the various textures. I suggest leaving a bit more room at the top as the hat is cut off a bit. |

Fran, this is a beautiful image depicting such a tender moment between these two horses. You have captured the eyes looking at each other and the triangles throughout the composition are nice. I like the tone you used and getting rid of the background. Very nice image. |

Paul, your image is very interesting with the shadows, textures of the rocky beach and layers of water and sky. The contrast is well done. The shadows and lines to the boat bring the eye into the frame and to the boat. Very nicely done. |
