I don't think either of these really work for the moon reflection...any advice on that is appreciated! |

Joan, nice capture which clearly shows the perspective of how huge the bridge is compared to the lighthouse. The red color gives the lighthouse the attention it deserves! I appreciate knowing the history and the story of the book! Thank you for sharing that. |

Kieu-Hanh, What a different view of the Taj Mahal and it works so well. The perspective leads the eye right into the frame. My only suggestion is to take down the highlights a tad on the tower. Very nice image! |

Ruth, I really like this monochrome image. You have captured the textures and tones. The roots lead me into the scene. Very nicely done. |

Robert, what a great image of this beautiful doe. I like the composition as you have cropped it and the enhancements made. And, you have glint in both eyes. Very nice! |

Michael, I had never heard of the Salton Sea..what a catastrophe. And you have documented it well. I read the article and I looked at the images in Group 83 as well. I do tend to agree with Lance as to the use of color in that I think it needs to be consistent rather than just one image. I find the monochrome images more powerful. |

Andres, sorry to hear about your shattered window but as others have said, it presented a great creative opportunity. I personally would consider these abstract. And, as Ruth indicated, my first thought was to use as backgrounds for composites or blending photos. Interesting idea here. I like the featured one the best with the cracks and a hint of blue. |

Thank you, Joan. I have been playing around with it trying to incorporate the suggestions, including a moon reflection. I have never attempted that! |

Michael, thank you for your comments and suggestions. I have been playing with the moon reflection in the water but not sure this looks realistic. I have two versions! |

Vincent, what a great opportunity to photograph a model. Your color version shows the skin tones of her face but in the monochrome that is lost and it loses something for me. I would prefer to see more tones in her face. I like the way you did the background and isolated her. It is very striking! |

Paul, very nice street photography. The wired slope leads the eye right to the gentleman seated on the bench. He is looking to his left which begs the question as to what is he seeing? He is in front of the other people in the photo so he is the main subject but then it is interesting to look beyond at the two women, the window and reflections. The monochrome brings the focus on the gentleman and shows all the textures. |

Fran, you have captured this Inupiat Elder's delight in telling his childhood stories. The expression on his face and hands say it all. It works very well in high key monochrome as, I agree, it focuses on him. The composition is well done as his eyes are looking to his right and you have left space there for the gaze. Very nicely done. |
