Joan, what a nice travel image. I like the colors and the reflections. I find the lights on the one cargo ship a bit bright so my eye keeps goin there. Perhaps bring those highlights down just a bit. |

Kieu-Hanh, I agree that this is a great photojournalism image. I think Ruth's suggestion re the stream of cider will really enhance the image. I saw it but only after studying the photo carefully. Very well exposed and sharp. |

Ruth, this is a great image of this beached sea turtle. What amazing creatures. You have captured the turtle in focus so all the detail of it are apparent and the soft ocean wave in the background sets it off very nicely. I really love sea turtles...when I was in Hawaii we went on a snorkel excursion to see them in the ocean. It was a fabulous experience. |

Robert, what a unique autumn image. I like the perspective and the line of pumpkins leading into more. I think you did a nice job with the crop. Very unique and pleasing image. |

Michael, I appreciate the explanation as well. I agree with Andres as well in that the old and new really adds to the story here. The lighting is perfect. I was curious how you managed to get so much in focus at f/1.7? |

Andres, I really like this shot of the Bilbao Guggenheim. You captured the unique design at night juxtaposed against the dark sky. Very nice! I was there a few years ago but did not see it at night...wish I had! |

I like this abstract, painterly look of this image. I find merit with both versions. The color version is more painterly whereas the black and white shows more textures. I don't have any experience with drone photography. |

I find this image very intriguing as I find myself going in and out of the image. Very dramatic and well done. I love it. |

My eye goes right to Sonny Boy and then goes all over the image, taking it all in. I do find it too busy as well and like your revised crop except that it cuts off some of the reflection and masts. Just a question...is it ok to be busy if the main subject is where the eye goes first? |

I agree that this is a nice architectural image with various lines and diagonals. I find that in the monochrome version the sky is too bright so maybe bring down the highlights in that section a bit. |

Great composition and lighting. I am a reader and I want to pick up a book and sit down! I like the texture in the chair and the tones of the desk. I agree with others about expanding it a bit on the left of the chair and the flowers. |

Fran, thank you for your comments. I do appreciate the feedback as I want to learn and improve. I have been a member of Group 3 for a few years and have learned so much from the members in that Group. I anticipate the same will happen in Group 39 as I try black and white! |

David, I appreciate your assessment and suggestions. I have much to learn and I do like that you have been forthright in your comments. Can you explain what you mean by a "thin white stroke" to make the image stand out more from the background? |
