Joan, I have never been to Death Valley but I keep seeing very beautiful images of the area. This image of the early morning sun has captured to golden colors highlighting the lines and textures of the rock. Very nicely done! |

Kieu-Hanh, what a colorful spring image. All is in focus and the perspective draws my eye right into the scene. Beautiful colors too. Very nice! |

Ruth, what a creative idea. I like the yellow color of the blurred version offsetting the trees. I agree with Joan to use more of the blurred image as background. I do like your re-edited version as there is more of the yellow background showing. It is a beautiful image. |

Robert, what an opportunity to be in a plane and see the eclipse let alone get this image. What a wonderful experience. Thank you for sharing as well as the view from the cockpit. |

Michael, great opportunity to seize! The colors work well together and I feel like I am looking through a glass block. I find this to be a very pleasing and interesting abstract. |

Andres, this is a very interesting and creative idea. I like the colors and textures of the items on the wooden counter. I agree with the others that getting more of the items in focus and arranging them differently will work better. Fun idea and gives homage to the cook! |

Michael, thank you so much for your observations and edits! This is how I continue to learn. I like your edited version very much...it is the "little" things that can make a photograph! |

Chuck, I agree that this is a technically well done photograph. I believe it works well in that the sign is pictured at an angle and not straight on. Nicely done. |

James, what a fascinating image that clearly shows a face! You did a great job in bringing this out in the black and white version. Nice composition with the contrast in the clouds providing negative space which really highlights the subject. Nicely done. |

Paul, nice capture of the waterfall with the slow shutter speed. I agree with the others about bringing the surrounding rocks and tree on the right into focus to show more detail. James' version does that well. Also, I would like to see more of the top of the waterfall. Beautiful falls! |

Lorna, as they say, the best camera is the one you have with you! iPhone cameras are improving all the time. This image shows so much detail and texture yet you have a great bokeh. Did you take this in raw and then edit using a program or did you use the edit on the phone? Very nicely done! |

Cindy, this is a beautiful image showing the riders hands on the saddle. The close up which highlights the hands shows enough of the saddle and horse to tell a story. Very nice! |
