Hi Robert, what a beautiful scene of Zion National Park. We have never been and it is on our bucket list. I like the yellow flowers in the foreground and then how the rocks/ranges on both sides lead into the image showing such depth. Yes, sky replacements can be fun to try. But, personally, I am more of a purist...what you have that day is your photograph of which to make the most. Beautiful landscape image. |

Thank you, Ruth, for your nice comments. I agree with you that Michael's crop works better. It is true that what seems a minor change makes all the difference! |

Robert, I have only used the tamron 150-600 with my Z9 a few times. But, it seems to work well. I used this lens with my last camera, the Nikon D500, and I really liked it. I want to get out more with it and practice with the Z9. Your question has got me motivated! |

Hi Ruth, Happy New Year! As all have mentioned, Colorado gives you great photographic opportunities. You always capture the landscapes so beautifully. There is much to see in this landscape, the reflections of the clouds in the water, the mountain ranges and dramatic sky. As others mentioned, I think the only suggestion is to bring out the detail of the trees just a bit. Beautiful image. |

Hi Joan, Happy New Year! I really like this image. I believe that having only two poppies is a non-issue. This works very well especially with the under foliage. The colors are beautiful and the background color and bokeh really set off the poppies. Beautiful image. |

Hello Kiew-Hanh, very nice architectural image. What really makes it for me is the juxtaposition of the modern with the old in the background. Great eye! The building is very interesting as well with the spiral walkway leading up to the circular space at the top. And the people give it scale. Very nicely done. |

Hi Michael, I have been looking at your mushroom images a few times now before commenting. I really like the composition of your photo and the sharp focus of the mushroom in the original. I do appreciate the artistic effect of your edits but I prefer the mushroom to really be in focus. And, the bokeh in the original is very nice too. I personally prefer the original image. |

Hi David, I really enjoy images of vintage vehicles and this is great being in the field with the corrugated metal behind it. Your editing produced nice effects and really bring the truck out. I agree with the others about the tighter crop. I struggle with cropping as well...you can see from my photo this month! Happy New Year! |

Michael, Happy New Year! Thank you for your comments and cropped version. Yes, your crop really does enhance the subject(s) of the image. I struggle with cropping! I appreciate your suggestion. |

Paul, what a beautiful waterfall to photograph. The bridge and the people give it a great sense of scale. To me that is the story here so I cropped it tighter and used the curves adjustment to bring out some contrast and detail in the greenery on the right. Let me know your thoughts. |

Cindy, what a great capture of this lemur, so deep in thought and a great pose. You caught the catch light in his eye as well. I like how you edited the background. The lemur is very sharp. Beautiful shot! |

James, classic cars are fun to photograph and you have captured a very unique angle with this image. The deep red makes for a great monochrome image. My only suggestion is to crop less tight so the actual headlamp is visible. |

Lorna, This is the perfect, beautiful rose to photograph. I prefer the color version of this beautiful rose as I think it has more interest with the various shades of color. The monochrome version shows detail with the various lines in the petals but it seems too gray to me. I adjusted in photoshop to add contrast and take down brightness just to see. Let me know your thoughts. Beautiful rose! |
