3 Nov 22 Reply Hi Ruth, thank you for your comment and suggestion. I will have to play with edits on this one and see how it comes out. Nov 12th
3 Nov 22 Reply LuAnn, thank you for your comments and suggestions. Personally, I like the softness of the image too. And I do have the Nik collection but have really only used the silver efex pro. I will have to explore the others within it because I really like your edit...it really brings out the golden glow! Nov 12th
3 Nov 22 Reply Hi Ruth, thank you for your comments/suggestions. I agree that it is soft. I had rented that lens for the Milky Way and did not have another lens with me but Michael's suggestion about focus stacking is a good idea for the future. Nov 12th
3 Nov 22 Reply Hi Michael, thank you for your comments/suggestions. I had rented this lens for the Milky Way shoot and did not have another lens with me! But your suggestion of photo stacking is an option is such a case. Nov 12th
3 Nov 22 Comment Hi Joan,
What a great time of day to capture the golden colors and glow. I like how you captured the depth and it is still very sharp. The colors, patterns and textures really make this image. I would also like to see your original before you cropped.

3 Nov 22 Comment Hi Kieu-Hanh, this flower works very well in monochrome and I like how you did the conversion and crop. The dark around the edge of each petal is very nice and you can see the various shades and textures of the flower. Very nicely done. Nov 12th
3 Nov 22 Comment Hi Ruth, you are very fortunate to live in such a place! I like how you captured this beautiful autumn scene with the reflections as foreground, the trees and the mountain/sky. You did a nice edit by bringing out the detail in the sky. I do like in the original seeing a bit of the water in the lower right corner but just my preference. This is a great image...may need to print it! Nov 12th
3 Nov 22 Comment Hi Ruth,
I like how you captured the story here. The expression on the man tells it all and you were able to capture it! I agree with others that the yellow background is still a bit too overpowering and the suggestions by Michael and LuAnn work well.

3 Nov 22 Comment Hi Michael, what a fabulous milky way image! I really like the old truck in the foreground and you have brought out the vibrancy of the milky way nicely. What a great opportunity and you seized it! I have only tried the milky way twice. I see you used Topaz Photo A1 for the noise reduction. I use the Topaz denoise and sharpen...is the A1 better? Great image, Michael. Nov 12th
3 Nov 22 Comment LuAnn, yes, this definitely qualifies as abstract! I really like the the vibrant colors. I envision looking through a very old window/glass at some fall foliage. Very beautiful image. I also think this might make an interesting monochrome image. Nov 12th

50 Nov 22 Comment Hi Paul, Nice image in black and white. I did have to really look to see the flag at the golf hole though. Perhaps zoom in closer or another angle would make it more apparent. I do like the natural frame of the two trees and the image is very sharp. Nov 12th
50 Nov 22 Reply Thank you, Cindy. I will have to look at some other angles of this scene that I took to see if any show more of the walkway. Nov 12th
50 Nov 22 Reply Thank you, Karl. Nov 12th
50 Nov 22 Comment Hi Chuck, I like taking photos of old trees too and this one is very nice especially with the reflection and clouds in the sky. I really like your re-edited version. I want to take a walk there and see it myself! Nov 12th
50 Nov 22 Comment Cindy, nice capture in monochrome as it does show the drama of the sea and the sky. I like how the walkway leads the eye right into the lighthouse and the action. Nov 12th
50 Nov 22 Comment Karl, what a find! I like how you captured this frog up close. I do agree with Cindy and James about the sharpness and background. Nov 12th
50 Nov 22 Comment Hi Lorna, I like this image in monochrome and making it a panorama. The negative space really gives it perspective. My only suggestion would be to have the negative space on the left side of the boat since that is the direction the man is facing. Nov 12th
50 Nov 22 Comment Hi James, you have captured the feel/story of an old penitentiary with this image. I like the perspective from which it was shot as the hallway leads right past all the cells to the light at the back door. I think the your contrast and exposure work well. I don't have any suggestions. Nice image. Nov 12th
