LuAnn, thank you so much for your comments. I like your edit...I have the Nik collection and tend to only use the silver efex pro. I need to experiment with all the tools there. |

Kieu-Hanh, thank you for your comments. Yes, I really like the Tamron 150-600 lens. Before I purchased it, I rented it and the Nikon 200-500. I liked both but decided to go with the tamron as it had more reach. It gets a bit heavy so eventually I may need to get a gimbal head for the tripod! But I find with bird photography it just seems easier for me to hand hold the camera. |

Hi John, thank you for your comments and suggestion. Did you mean to use content aware fill on the right side so that the bird has more room behind it? |

Hi John, You have captured a nice cityscape with this image. I like the colors and various shapes of the buildings. I prefer the sky in the original image because the buildings/colors stand out more. Your edits of the colorful buildings and crop really enhance the scene. I did not notice the straightening aspect but I learned a few months ago about the perspective/transform tool in photoshop that is helpful. |

Hi Kieu-Hanh, what a creative image. I like how the texture of the cloth is apparent in the foreground and then the image gets sharper as it moves in. I also really like the reflection in the spoon. I thought the handle of the spoon was a bit distracting so I attempted to take it out...not sure if I like it or not but thought I would share with you to see what you think. |

Ruth, I really like this image and I think it is a great one for monochrome. The prints and ripples in the sand lead right into the scene. And, the layers of the mounds with the light and dark up to the sky are just wonderful. Very nice image. |

Hi John, this is a great street photography scene. And I agree that when you see it, you have to grab the shot. I like how you cropped it in. John Kelly's edit is a good use of the Topaz denoise tool. I also have the Topaz sharpen tool which I really like as well. You may want to take down the highlight on the shirt a bit as that seems to draw my eye away from the face. Fun image! |

Michael, this is a great image of the tree swallow! I think you can rightly say that you are a wildlife photographer! Yes, it takes patience and many shots to get one or two that work. I really like the position of the bird in this as it is so unique and you captured the eye as well. I do prefer your re-edit as it nicely takes out the brightness and really highlights the bird. I am curious if the settings are correct....did you really capture this at a shutter speed of 1/200 and ISO 2000 or was it reverse? |

Hi LuAnn, I really like the colors of this image and the soothing feeling of it. This image could be used as a pattern!
I have some photography friends who are using the lensbaby lenses but I find that I am drawn more to the sharp focus photography. However, I find this image to be very appealing with the softness and the beautiful colors. |

Hi Bev, I was looking through other groups images this month and came across your granddaughter. This is a lovely image. I read the comments and agree so I took it into PS to play around with it. I used camera raw sharpen and denoise and it seemed to help. This is a really cute and fun photo. |

Karl, I like the repeating pattern in this image and the texture of the wood. It leads the eye through it and wonder what is next to see. I think you can take down the brightness of the gaps by using the brush tool and adjusting for highlights, exposure, etc. |

Lorna, this is a very nice rendition of a foggy day. I like the leading line of the path, how the fog is apparent on the water and the reflection. The reflection in the water is more dramatic in the monochrome version. I also like the texture of the path and area on both sides of it. Nice image. |

Paul, This is a great subject to photograph. I really like to venture out into the surrounding farm land and countryside looking for old equipment, etc. It looks like your monochrome version is very pixelated so I took the color version into Silver efex pro to make it monochrome and took down the highlights on the left. I like both versions. The color version is very nice with the fall leaves in the background and the red of the tractor. The monochrome gives it the antique type feel. |

Chuck, what an interesting idea for an image...very creative. I took it into photoshop and used camera raw to take down the highlights and dehaze. I cropped a bit more off the bottom. What do you think? |

Cindy, I really like this image and thought I had seen it already. You posted this in December so I was curious if you meant to share it again as the original was not included then. I personally prefer the monochrome version as I think it lends itself to the story of an old book store with nooks and crannies! I am a book lover so I really appreciate this image and the story you have captured. The lighting, shadows and highlights are well done. |

Hi LuAnn, yes, this is a very moody image! I think of Into the Woods! It is a bit dark for me. I am away from home and do not have access to all of my filters but I did take the original into PS and converted to B&W, took down the highlights on the steps and added a bit of a vignette. I did not crop it at all. Not as moody but shows more detail. I am looking forward to what you think. |
