Yes, I actually completed it. It was the one offered through PSA. I was very happy that I was already familiar with Elements. I am still learning....always finding out about another tool or another way. I also have Topaz denoise and the Nik collection. I have alot to learn with Nik and Camera Raw as well. I thought I was pretty familiar with Camera Raw but finding out there is much more there too! |

LuAnn, I have been attempting to edit as you did I can get it pretty close but struggling with controlling the light on the bird. Can you elaborate on what you did to add adjustment layers to control the light on the bird? Thank you! |

Randolph, I really like the colors and the subject of this photo. I agree with Michael and Kieu-Hanh to try a tighter crop to focus on the shucking of the peas. Very sharp photo. Did you use a tripod to shoot this at 1/60? |

LuAnn, No, I have not used the lensbaby. I have a couple of photographer friends who have been using it lately. I generally do not care for soft focus but sometimes I find it appealing depending on how it is used and the subject. I have really liked your use of it on the still life photos you have posted. Hi Kieu-Hanh, This is a great capture of the cicada on the flower stem. I agree with Michael that the bokeh is beautiful and the composition is very nice. The colors of the cicada against the green are striking. I have not heard of the HiPass filter in Photoshop but looked it up so will experiment with that for sharpening. |

LuAnn, thank you for your edits! Yes, I like your version very much and I am going to try myself. Thank you for the tip regarding using the curves rather than the individual sliders. Mary Ann |

Lisa, I don't do much portraiture photography either. I like this one as the woman is very interesting and the costume/face paint tell a story. It appears as though there is some softness on the face but when I zoomed in, the face is actually quite sharp so I think it is from the smoke. My only suggestion is to take down the brightness of the smoke on the right side as it seems to distract from her. Did you do much editing? Very nice and memorable portrait. |

Ruth, this photo draws me right in and makes me want to go there! The reflection is very nice and the leading line of the trail into the canyon leads the eye right into the rock formations and colors. Very nice edits bring out the colors and the textures. |

Michael, very nice sharp photo of the wild flower. I think the vignette does well to minimize the stem coming out of the corner. I am curious why you reversed the image. |

LuAnn, this is a lovely photo. You certainly have a knack for still life. I like the light reflected on the copper and the handle draws my eye upwards to the bloom in the copper vase. Did you use the lensbaby for the soft focus? |

Hi Michael. Yes, it is a challenge! I took your suggestions and re-edited the photo from the original. I think this is better...what do you think? |
