Bob, Thank you for your response. To clarify, the photograph I submitted was taken as is. The birds were flying there with the SF City in the background and I shot it. My comments referred to the unedited vs edited photos. Sorry for the confusion. I appreciate your comments. Mary Ann |

Bob & LuAnn,
Just to clarify, I did not add any birds to the photo. My photo as posted was what I saw that day with a few edits. I have taken things out of a photo that were distracting, etc. but I wonder about the authenticity when things are added. I am fairly new to getting into serious editing....I tend to be a minimalist with it. But I would like to know more about how this is seen in the world of photography and entering photos into competitions, etc. Thank you for the tip on Luminar. I will check it out. Thanks, Mary Ann |

I like this very much! I think it really brings out the pup and the mother's gaze on her young! |

This is a nice shot and sometimes the best ones require no editing! It looks like the perfect weather for the background and the photo does bring a smile. Very nice and fun! |

I really like this photo too. The water droplets really bring some softness to the tension and texture of the chain. Very nice. |

LuAnn, I do like your edits. How did you add clouds to the sky? I am using Photoshop Elements 18 and the only way I see to do it is to take another photo with clouds and add to this one. I have avoided making that much of a change to a photo. I have taken things out but don't add anything in. Thanks, Mary Ann |

This is a great scene. The stairs lead the eye to the man with the thinking pose. I think the subject is the man so maybe if you cropped some off the left, the eye would focus more on him. The blues in his pants, the stairs, the graffiti above him and the door make nice capture of him. |

You have captured the look on the pup and the fondness of the mother looking on. I wonder if cropping a bit more to take out some of the sand on the top may draw the viewers eye more towards the pup. |

I agree with LuAnn. This is a lovely photograph of this bird. You captured the glint in the eye and the red dash on the wing draws one in. I have the same question...how did you do the swirling effect in the background? |

I like this image very much due to the depth of field and textures. The mushroom looks very natural to me so I would say the white balance is fine. |
