While this High-key image is interesting, for me it needs to be toned down to gain some contrast/detail as Tom & Stephen suggest. The subject (could the be Idaho spuds??) the refection & placement is pleasing. For me, this is a nice capture. |

IMO, you got this capture right. I like the comet, its size, placement, stars & lights on the dam that takes me into the picture. The city lights adds by outlining the mountains. My only suggestion is take the dark circle in the lower right corner. Otherwise, for me you nailed an interesting image. |

I will try your suggestion using a slower shutter. I shot this in B&W & I have not tried color yet. I need to get a crystal ball & try your suggestion. Thanks for your comments. Hope your day is a good one...

It nice to meet you also. I am a newbie to PSA joining this group Sep 2020. FYI, I am from Utah & raised in Gunnison. Main Street there is about 2 blocks long & looks a lot like your image. |

I think you have created a striking image with a Circa 1900 look & feeling. It is very fitting for Covid & related issues of today. I like the composition & the border adds to the vintage. Is a nice capture. |

Yes Tom, between the cold of winter & Covid, I don't get out much. So have been trying some light painting. This image (I think) shows a little more detail of the wooden ball. Otherwise, there is no detail in the black background. Is that what you were thinking? |

What I meant to say was contemplation with the look on this animals face. For me the contrast is just right. Is a nice capture... |

Oh what completion, after a meal or perhaps anticipating a meal is my thought. To me this image has a nice impact, some tension from the intentional stare & licking the lips. Focus is spot on. Also, the little vignette & tight crop makes this image interesting.
I like this image as is. |

I agree Stephen, that my version is over the top & 1/2 would give a better result. |

I used Silver Efex Pro 2, then preset #009 "Low Key 1" was the only adjustment. This preset changes the entire image. Glad you like it. Hope your day was a good one. |

Nice compelling image with good leading lines with the grave markers. I like your composition, cropping & cleanup. To this is a interesting image with a story. I agree with Tom to darken the sky. So I did a edit via Silver Efex to darken the entire image for different effect. What do you think? |

To me this is a excellent documentary of a very complex & complicated construction project. Makes me wonder how these projects are organized & worked out, ie, have the materials, manpower & right equipment at the right time/place. But for me is really busy & a little difficult to focus. I like the cropping & compotation. I did edit one in low key, but not sure that helps any. |
