A nice capture, perhaps a darker & stormy clouds might add the effect you are thinking. For me, the contrast is OK, the brightness if fine & clouds make this iconic image more interesting. |

Lynne, this is an awesome High-key image. Has a pleasant & soothing feel. I agree w/Stephen that it would be nice to see the rest of the bottom petal. Otherwise, for me, you nailed it... |

Diana, I decided to try a diagonal crop as you suggested. It Does give a different feel & perhaps better than the centered & vertical version. Thanks, what do you think? |

My 1st thought in cropping was to eliminate the windows. In that process it seemed better to make the light bulb vertical as if it was plugged into the top of the image. So, for me, it seemed like the better way to finish this image. Thanks for your comments |

For me, I think you have created a very nice composite. Flipping the Meerkats is a good choice. Even though the color version is pleasing, I prefer the BnW as it focuses more on the subject Meerkats. |

Asbjorn, A interesting image with a compelling story. Your capture & composition is nicely done. I like the thin border. For me I darkened the image to add some drama. What do you think? |

Tom, I can feel the winters cold in this image. It is a little busy, but that is just the way you saw in & is OK. Your cropping, eliminating the fence etc is nicely done. My thought is to lighten it a little (I tend to do that with my B&W's) What do you think? |

Stephen, I like your image & appreciate how difficult these situations can be with low light, needing a fast shutter, lens, can't use a flash/lights & then capture what you want. My only suggestion is adding a border. What do you think? |
