I very much enjoyed spending time with your image. I came back to it several times and thought about various storylines. It's very compelling with the man climbing the trellis, followed by the fox. It's true, I wondered at first if it was a faithful domesticated dog following him but it's obviously a fox.
The opacity of the bottom stair step could be extended so it doesn't look like it's floating. Also, since you used the existing shadow for the fox, you could use some burning to guide the light in that direction. Very creative, Brad! |

Hi Maria, Your image has an attractive texture that brings the well-placed subject all together in a pleasing way. The desaturation really worked and emphasizes the dress and flowers. And you're right, the landscape is enticing and a great backdrop. I like what you did with the girl. Alan has a point the flowers might be a bit large for the scene but it does seem to make sense to have something in her hand.
I always want to know the story and I'm wondering why she isn't running toward the door, but as I spent more time with it, I can just see her taking a run in the field.
You nicely removed the texture from the girl. I found the horizontal 'waves' in the lower right to be a bit distracting. Overall, it's a wonderful scene. |

There is a popular book series and Netflix show called The Sandman with the main character, Dream. Your image very much reminded me of the CGI graphics in the show. The mood is evocative and certainly tells a story. You blended it all together very well and the golden filter is a nice overlay.
In answer to your question, I generally like to see some facial features, but in this case, I'm not sure it would be additive as it would take away part of the fantasy. |

Hi Alan, You say it's "just a cut and paste" but it really came together nicely and I can tell you put a lot of thought into it. I really enjoy the mood that you set and the effect on the house. The shadowing and opacity adjustments are superb. I might suggest the top of the frame is a tad dark, but I really like what you did with the burning adjustments. |

Oh my! The first thing that caught my eye was the wonderful blending, including the opaqueness beneath the water line. So well done.
I know what you mean going down rabbit holes with compositing images that just don't work. But, I think you pulled this together in fine order. Matching the tone and glow filter really helps the consistency. And a moon is always fun.
I don't have much to suggest. I find that moon additions can work better with a slight glow around them to alleviate the 'paste-in' look. |
