54 Feb 25 Reply Hi Bruce, Yes, it's true that getting a front face is always better than the back or side in this case. Thanks for your comments. Feb 11th
54 Feb 25 Reply Appreciate your edit without the right menu, Alan. It does help the image and keeps the focus on the main elements. Thanks for your comments. Feb 11th
54 Feb 25 Reply Thank you Kirsti for the suggestion of removing the right menu. I agree it is a better image, and solidifies the triangle effect, without that distraction. Feb 11th
54 Feb 25 Comment So well done Brad! Your blending and shadowing technique is strong. The sky you added gives a cool perspective and the layers really give a 3d effect that brings the viewer into the image. The falls initially looked a bit lopsided to me to the left, maybe something to play with. Overall, I super composite! Feb 9th
54 Feb 25 Comment Hi Maria, What a fun image! The large white bird makes for a wonderful subject in the engaging forest background. I also like the placement of the child on the chair. It gives food for thought, but works as the legs disappear into the water. I'm was initially les certain about the left-most child, but I see he has sort of a board to float on the water, which makes sense. I especially like the lighting you added on the children and what looks like a bit of blur where they meet the water. It helps pull it all together. Nice finishing work as well! Feb 9th
54 Feb 25 Comment Alan, The shading that you did on the dice with the gradients is perfect, definitely worth the effort. This reminds me of the magician card image you did a few months ago and the motion perspective is definitely one of your strengths. I can feel the dice coming out of the page/screen. And the placement of the crucifixes looks great. The imagery is certainly evocative and makes for a compelling story.
The two things I notice, one is a question, but first ... the Lucifer character struck me as a bit dark relative to the dice brightness. You might consider emphasizing it a bit more with exposure or saturation so it doesn't blend so much into the black background. Second, with the dice sides, should the side closest to the viewer be larger or smaller? I think larger, but it seems you have both effects (i.e., smaller in front on the left-most die facing forward and larger on the top of the same left-most die). Overall, it's a creative masterpiece.

54 Feb 25 Comment Having photographed many dunes, I very much appreciate how adding content can completely enhance this type of image. The hot air balloon really worked out well and you blended it nicely into the sky with your shading. The LUT seemed to bring out that magical bronze quality that makes it sparkle.
I wouldn't change much here. Maybe play with the sizing of the camel train. These details can get somewhat lost even if their sizing is 'realistic.'
So well done Bruce!

54 Feb 25 Comment The blur experiment you did with the harbor worked very well. The light streaks look amazing. The beacon was a great choice to give that ET feel. The rocky shore came out pretty good too. As you noted, the coloring and contrast on the aliens doesn't seem to fit. If the shading were more like the beacon, that might help. Brightening up the harbor backdrop could be an idea to try as well. Overall, I think you're on the right track with this composite. Feb 7th
54 Feb 25 Comment Once again, you brought a color palette that is so engaging with the ICM shot. Blurring and blending the man and bike came out great which really makes it all work together. I also like that the man is looking at the bike. I can't think of much I would do different, maybe a bit of dodge and burn to add some contrast areas which can get lost in the motion. Feb 7th
