I am usually not a big fan of filters, but it works well here. Normally, I suppose there would be many more light trails pre-Covid as well. The colors and the mural make for an interesting street scape, while the space needle provides an anchor. I like that you waited until all the lights were red too. It's hard to tell if you could have done this, but the trees/poles in the lower left are a bit distracting and I wonder if you could crop a bit out there and/or include more from the right side. Cool image! |

This image sets a mood and you processed it very well. The pathway leading to the foggy end is enticing and makes for a terrific composition. I like the subdued look and not sure I would change much of anything here. |

So fascinating! I really enjoyed examining the various elements here. The Saturn rings came out terrific and I can appreciate the difficulties of exposure with Jupiter. The stars in the outer galaxies came out great too which make for a great 'background'. Nicely done! |

I do enjoy a good pano and this one checks all the boxes with the interesting reflection and foreground leading to the gorgeous mountains. The light on the peaks to the right brings the eye there as well as to the terrific orange glow in the sky.
I feel there are two conflicting subjects here, however. The light is on the peaks to the right, yet the Matterhorn (with its reflection) is to the left. I think you might actually have two images that would do better on their own. Very nice.

If you were going to just get one of the two, I would start with the 28-75 because of its range. I sometimes miss the 24mm from my Sony 24-70, but only rarely and enjoy the extra 5mm on the long end. The 17-28 is super lightweight, sharp and a great alternative to the 16-35, but obviously more limited as a wide angle. |

The photo is from Moscow, Russia taken at this time last year. I was on a tripod but used 1/40 shutter speed because the people were moving.
I switched to the Tamron trinity of lenses (17-28, 28-75, 70-180) for my Sony a7riv because they are half the weight and size (and nearly half the cost) of the Sony G masters. I love them for for traveling and use them now even at home since they are so easy to carry. The sharpness is as good as the Sony lenses and the reviews/tests have shown that. The only real difference is the slight difference in the focal lengths and the Tamron are hard plastic vs. metal for the Sony so they are not as sturdy (but they are still ok at waterproof). |
