Thanks everyone for your thoughtful comments! I did make it my holiday card, plus I added a bit of .gif magic to this version. Merry Christmas to those who celebrate and Happy New Year! 2021 has to be better, right?!? |

Nice framing of the river, Debbie. The curves of the river lead the eye through the image from the foreground into the back. I see what you mean about the bright sun as midday is not the greatest time, but I think you did well here. The vertical orientation makes sense with the trees on either side. You perhaps could have left a bit more room on the side of the right tree. |

Huge WOW factor Peter! The grand landscape balances well between the wheat field and the clouds. The color of the clouds is gorgeous and you had perfect light. You could have perhaps moved a bit closer to the barn as your main subject, but I like it this way as well. |

Glad to hear things are going well Down Under. Wish I could say the same in the States. Moving on ... terrific landscape with the smoothing of the water and clouds in the sky. I like the composition of how the rocks jut into the harbor but leave space to see more water before the land in the background. The only thing I found a bit distracting was what looks like a halo around the right side of the rocks. Otherwise, very cool and calming image! |

You did an excellent job with this pano. The layers from the ruins in the foreground with the mountains and the clouds in the background make for an enticing image. Normally, I would say to move the subject off-center, but I like the way the Andes encircle the ruins in this case. Nicely done! |

A terrific French streetscape, Sherry! Perfect timing at blue hour and the mix of the yellow/orange in the building and the blue in the sky/river. The leading lines of the water around the building are exceptional. My only suggestion would be to do something with the partial words at the top and left side... it's distracting to have them cutoff like that, so I would clone or crop it out. Otherwise, it's a terrific image! |
