73 Oct 20 Comment I appreciate everyone's thoughtful comments. I think I will leave the framing 'as is' and work on the clouds a bit more. Thanks again! Oct 18th
73 Oct 20 Comment The curve of the water leading up to the dam is a nice composition. The dam isn't level though. I think Sherry corrected that in her edit. And yes, a bit of editing in Lightroom would bring down those highlights in the water. Or as Dave suggested, a polarizing filter really helps take the glare off of water and deepens the sky. But overall, the framing here with the trees and rocks is very pleasing! Oct 16th
73 Oct 20 Comment Well done! Beautiful colors and the image is sharp all around. I like the starburst because you have no clouds and so it helps compensate for that. Plus, you were able to pull out all the dynamic range from the water to the foreground. Oct 16th
73 Oct 20 Comment A well done capture, with pleasing reflections. The mood is set by the rain and the environmental conditions bringing out the glow of the lights at my favorite time of day, blue hour.

If you have a version without cutting off the point of the building on the right, I think that would be even better!

73 Oct 20 Comment So cool!As Dave executed, a vertical or square crop would work and with better control over the whites. Milky Way processing is its own art, but its all about contrast. You have a great foreground and all the elements for a fantastic image. Oct 15th
73 Oct 20 Comment You did a nice job putting all the elements together. The lack of clouds doesn't bother me as you minimized the sky and brought the eye down to the water. Leaving the fishing boat in was a good idea too. The framing of the trees and the mountains makes it all work. I am sometimes tempted to use a filter to smooth things out, but I'm not sure that is really necessary here since it's pretty smooth already. Oct 15th
73 Oct 20 Comment The mood of the image is terrific. I am glad you did not blow out the sun and left the soft pink of the sky. The classic composition is pleasing. I can see where you would play with many types of angles, but I think you selected the best option. Oct 15th
