Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
83 Dec 21 Comment Lance I just read your comments on my phone and looked at the photo again and was blown away by the difference in my reaction to it on the smaller screen. All of a sudden the overall light and dark balance became important and the graining was an important part of the content. I am actually able to see the smaller elements of the image more clearly. For me this is a photo more meaningful if I am farther away. I really like it. Please excuse typos as this is typed on my phone. Dec 19th
83 Dec 21 Comment Thank you Stephen. I used LR sliders and adjustment brush to dodge and burn areas that were too dark or too bright. This was not a photographic trip so there were lots of midday scenes. I tried to meter on a mid grey to end up with enough digital info to adjust manually. But you are correct and a fill flash would have been called for here had I had the time. Dec 18th
83 Dec 21 Comment I feel a lot of energy in this photo Jose. If it wasn't for the title I would have thought it was the moon as it's so dark. I am not sure it would have felt this energetic if it was less dark. The clouds add to the dynamics of it, it doesn't seen cloudless to me. Great job. I definitely had an emotional reaction to this. 83 Dec 21 Comment Hi Lance,
Beautiful spot and I want to see more of the trees not the reflections. The trees seen cleaner and easier to look at whereas the reflection seems busy and chaotic. Personal preference for sure but nice to know you can capture so much detail. Seeing the sky in the reflection and not above bothers me.

83 Dec 21 Comment Here is the color image Jose. I agree pouring the wine would have been better. I'm still working on thinking better on my feet. Dec 16th
83 Dec 21 Comment Welcome Ed. I like your vision and can almost appreciate this flower even though morning glories absolutely overrun my orchard! I like the blurred background that appears pretty uniform so good job cleaning it up. It is nicely composed though I think you could get away with cropping a little off the top. The brightness distracts my eye a bit. Nicely seen. Dec 16th
83 Dec 21 Comment Dirk this is lovely. I like the negative vignette here. Boats nice and sharp. Dec 16th
83 Dec 21 Comment Debassih I love the subject my I only wish there was more in the image above the childs head. It feels scrunched to me. I like the different textures captured from the cobbles to the cracking plaster. Dec 16th
